OUR COMMITMENT TAKES ROOT IN TANZANIA
Among our environmental projects, the one carried out with Rete Clima in Tanzania is a tangible example of integration between environmental sustainability and social development.
WHERE
Msimba Village, Kilosa District – Tanzania
OBJECTIVE
To support 50 farming families in sustainable cocoa cultivation, reducing pressure on forest resources.
ACTIVITIES
• Establishment of a community nursery
• Distribution of cocoa and timber seedlings
• Training in Good Agricultural Practices (GAP)
• Ongoing technical assistance (on-farm training)
RESULTS BY 2026
• 50 trained and active farmers
• Increased local household income
• Reduced deforestation
• +1,500 trees already planted, with a goal of 4,700 by 2028

Our ESG framework is supported by a clear and long-term governance system:
• Independent ESG advisor → EY monitors annual goal progress and provides qualitative and quantitative assessments.
• Model 231 and Code of Ethics → being adopted across all Group companies.
• UNGC Protocol → Aquanexa has officially joined as of 25/11/2025 and is committed to annually reporting its progress (Communication on Progress).
• SFDR Art. 9 compliance → promotes sustainable impact investments in line with the EU Taxonomy.
